Douce France Bakery, located in Menlo Park, California, has been in operation since 1981. We make all our breads and pastries from scratch using the highest quality ingredients.

Since we always strive to provide the best product and service, we pay special attention to all stages of production. Everything from preparing the dough to the proper baking and presentation is looked at carefully by our excellent bakers.

Telera Bread

The Telera is one of two kinds of staple breads that are most prevalent throughout Latin America. The telera is a flat, soft roll, slightly rounded in shape, with a thin crust. Larger than a bolillo, its signature is two shallow indentations in the top to divide it into three sections. It has a higher water content than a bolillo, and forms a stickier dough. The telera is the bread of choice for tortas, the traditional Mexican sandwiches.
